The Fantastic Four: First Steps is getting its very own MCU tie-in comic.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters this coming July. Directed by Matt Shakman, the film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
Per Deadline, Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios are working together on a new Fantastic Four: First Steps comic written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Mark Buckingham.
When is the release date for The Fantastic Four: First Steps tie-in comic?
The Fantastic Four: First Steps one-shot tie-in comic, which features cover art by Phil Noto, will be released on July 2, 2025.
“The one-shot comic book is designed to be an artefact from the world of the upcoming movie and confirms a few things that fans have speculated about, including that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is not an origin story, but will pick up four years after they become heroes,” Deadline’s article notes. “Marvel Comics worked closely with filmmakers on the comics, pulling in the tone and feel of the pic’s feel from production designer Kasra Farahani. Fraction and other talent from the comic even visited the set of the film.”
Marvel Comics C.B. Cebulski said in a statement, “As Marvel’s First Family, the Fantastic Four and their stories have always been at the very center of the Marvel Universe.
