Oscar Isaac would ideally like to see Marvel’s Moon Knight come back for a Midnight Suns project.
Shared on Twitter by @GeekHouseShow, via The Direct, Isaac was attending the Middle East Film and Comic Con in Abu Dhabi when he was asked about what MCU project he personally would like to see Moon Knight show up in sometime in the future.
“I thought there was an interesting opportunity with Midnight Suns. There are just such interesting characters in there. Now that we’ve set the groundwork with learning who Marc, Steven, and Jake — less so — are, it could be an interesting opportunity to see him as a part of a team and what that dynamic would be. I think that’d be exciting. For me, I definitely hope there’s some room to explore that possibility.”
Would Oscar Isaac consider joining the forthcoming DCU?
Regarding if he’d consider joining James Gunn and Peter Safran’s forthcoming DCU, Isaac said, “For me, I don’t have like a hard, fast rule anymore. For me, it’s just about if there’s a great story and if it’s a great opportunity to do something interesting, something different, and something that would excite people. Whether that be DC or anything else.”
Isaac played the titular character in the six-episode Moon Knight miniseries, which premiered on Disney+ in March 2022. Created by Jeremy Slater, the series also starred May Calamawy, Ethan Hawke, Fernanda Andrade, and F. Murray Abraham.
In October 2022, Isaac told ComicBook that there have been “specific conversations” about Moon Knight returning for a new Marvel Studios project; however, he was unsure at the time whether it would be a second season of the miniseries or something else entirely.
He also hinted at the time that Moon Knight’s next appearance could be in a “group thing,” such as a Midnight Suns series or movie. “Truthfully, it’s about the story,” he said. “Is there a story worth telling? Is it interesting? Will I feel embarrassed about it when it comes out? So it’s just about, is there something worth pouring everything you have into.”
Moon Knight is currently streaming on Disney+. A second season has not been confirmed by Marvel at this time.
