Captain America: Brave New World star Danny Ramirez shared how his iconic co-star, Harrison Ford, broke the ice around his castmates.
“If anyone’s spicy, it’s that man. He shows up. He’s an unbelievable professional. He’s obviously a legend, but he allows everyone to be themselves near him. He cracks jokes whenever he’s at. He’s attuned to the room, so he knows when to crack a joke, when not to, when to alleviate stress, when to,” Ramirez said to ComicBook.com while promoting his Doritos Dinamita Super Bowl ad.
“And so like, yeah, just seeing how you moved and operated in the space and some of the scenes were really there’s exciting to be a part of with Harrison and so yeah man it’s just one of those moments he’s my, my mom’s favorite actor. So when I realized he was going to be a part of, of it, I was like, well, I’ll be I’ll be the second favorite actor in this movie for my mom.”

Ramirez, who reprises his role as Joaquin Torres from Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier miniseries, was not the only actor overwhelmed by Ford’s presence on set. Brave New World’s star Anthony Mackie revealed how he forgot his lines on the first day working with the legend of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises.
“The first day was so intimidating,” Mackie said. “I was so f*cking nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison f*cking Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of sh*t.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this sh*t.’”
Directed by Julius Onah, Captain America: Brave New World opens in theaters on February 14, 2025. In addition to Mackie, Ramirez, and Ford, the MCU installment co-stars Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, Shira Haas, Liv Tyler, Xosha Roquemore, Rosa Salazar, and WWE superstar Seth Rollins (Colby Lopez).
