The Justice League is Revealed in New DC League of Super-Pets Art

Batman and Superman aren’t the only DC heroes slated to appear in DC League of Super-Pets this summer. The upcoming animated movie will also feature its own version of the Justice League. And thanks to some new promotional artwork (via Flickering Myth), we can finally see how these characters will appear in the film. The poster reveals new looks at The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern. You can view the image below.

Overall, the characters resemble their comic book counterparts, though giving Cyborg an afro is an interesting choice. But that’s not entirely unexpected. Based on early trailers we’ve seen, DC League of Super-Pets isn’t taking its source material very seriously. So we can probably look forward to a few jokes at the heroes’ expense. However, given the movie’s target audience, we can definitely rule out any jokes about Aquaman and his fishy buddies à la Peacemaker.

Additionally, DC is releasing new activity book tie-in that also features most of the film’s Justice League characters. It features a new look at their animal sidekicks, including PB the pig (Vanessa Bayer), Merton the turtle (Natasha Lyonne), and Ch’p (Diego Luna).

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are headlining DC League of Super-Pets as the voices of Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bat-Hound. John Krasinski and Keanu Reeves are also voicing their respective owners, Superman and Batman. But surprisingly, Warner Bros. has yet to share which actors are voicing the other members of the Justice League. Regardless, the movie will feature the voices of Kate McKinnon, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Jameela Jamil in undisclosed roles. Marc Maron will also appear as the voice of Lex Luthor.

DC League of Super-Pets will hit theaters on July 29.
