The Matrix Resurrections Trailer Reunites Neo and Trinity

It’s time to go back to the Matrix. However, it appears that Neo never left after his final battle with Smith in The Matrix Revolutions. When that was the end of the franchise, we didn’t wonder whether Neo was still alive. It was pretty clear that he was dead. Regardless, the title of The Matrix Resurrections certainly suggests that Neo has found life after death. Matrix Resurrections trailer.

After teasing the footage a few days ago, Warner Bros. has dropped the first real trailer for the film. In it, Neo is once again Thomas Anderson, the seemingly ordinary man he once believed himself to be. Thomas is also under the care of his therapist, as played by Neil Patrick Harris. However, Thomas’ life is changed again when he reunites with Trinity. Unfortunately, neither Neo/Thomas nor Trinity know who they really are. But they had better figure it out fast.

Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are both back as Neo and Trinity, respectively. Additionally, Jada Pinkett Smith is reprising her role as Niobe, alongside Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian, and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson.

Newcomers to the cast include  Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Telma Hopkins,Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith, Eréndira Ibarra, Andrew Caldwell, and Ellen Hollman.

The Matrix Resurrections will hit in theaters and HBO Max on December 22.
