Next month, Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale’s Batman: The Long Halloween will be animated in Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 1. However, Warner Bros. Animation isn’t wasting any time to promote the conclusion. Via IGN, the first trailer for Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2 has been released.
Without giving away too much from Part 1, The Long Halloween takes place early in Batman’s career. Gotham City’s crime families, including the Falcones, have a grip on the city. But Batman’s alliance with Jim Gordon and Harvey Dent starts to turn the tide. However, the emergence of Gotham’s costumed criminals throws everything into chaos. There’s also a serial killer who only murders on holidays. And the identity of “Holiday” is a secret that eludes even the Dark Knight.
Jensen Ackles stars in both movies as Bruce Wayne/Batman, with the late Naya Rivera as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Josh Duhamel also stars as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, with Billy Burke as Commissioner James Gordon, Katee Sackhoff as Poison Ivy, Titus Welliver as Carmine “The Roman” Falcone, Julie Nathanson as Gilda Dent, David Dastmalchian as Calendar Man & The Penguin, and Troy Baker as The Joker.
Amy Landecker also lends her voice as Barbara Gordon & Carla Vitti, with Fred Tatasciore as Solomon Grundy, Alyssa Diaz as Renee Montoya, and Alastair Duncan as Alfred.
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 1 will hit digital and Blu-ray on June 22. The Long Halloween, Part 2 will be released later this year.
