DC FanDome to Host Wonder Woman 1984 Virtual Premiere

It’s not just an online comic convention any more. DC FanDome‘s online portal, previously used to host multi-channel, multimedia panels, will next host a Wonder Woman 1984 virtual premiere. This Tuesday, Dec. 15th, at 3 p.m. eastern, FanDome will go live with a behind-the-scenes featurette followed by the virtual red carpet. (HBO Max will also broadcast the event.) Star Q&As and a Hans Zimmer performance will follow along with a new sneak peak at the movie, according to an EW report. In addition, select loyalty program members (it isn’t clear which program) will get the chance to attend the premiere in person and at select “CinemaSafe” locations. As always, Superhero Hype recommends researching and determining your own comfort and safety levels regarding indoor gatherings during a pandemic.

Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal will take fan questions at the event. In a shared statement, Gadot and Jenkins said, “”We have the best fans in the world and that’s why we’re so excited to celebrate the launch of Wonder Woman 1984 in such a big way. Having it be a virtual event allows us to share the moment with Wonder Woman superfans everywhere who might not otherwise have the chance to experience a movie premiere.”
