Tom Holland Confirms That Spider-Man 3 Has Started Filming
Although Tom Holland only recently wrapped his work on the Uncharted film, the MCU’s Spider-Man is already back at work. Holland has shared a behind-the-scenes peak of Spider-Man 3 on his Instagram account. And he appears to be wearing his Spider-suit from Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Holland will be joined in the sequel by his fellow Spidey veterans Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, J.K. Simmons, and Tony Revolori. Benedict Cumberbatch will also reprise his role as Doctor Strange. That has fueled speculation that the currently untitled sequel will tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Additionally, Jamie Foxx’s return has added fuel to the fire of that rumor. Foxx will once again play Electro, the villain he portrayed in Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, Foxx has noted that his Electro won’t be blue this time. It’s also unclear if he’s playing the same version of Electro, or a new incarnation.
Spider-Man 3 is currently slated to hit theaters on December 17, 2021. But that release date is also subject to change.
