Carmel Laniado Joins The Witcher Season 2

As The Witcher‘s cast and crew prepare for the second season, a fresh new face has been recruited. Deadline reports that Carmel Laniado will appear in at least three episodes over the course of the season. Laniado will portray Violet, “a young girl whose playful and whimsical demeanour is a front for a smarter and more sadistic character.” There’s no word yet about whether she’ll give Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia any trouble.

Laniado recently made her big screen debut in Robert Downey Jr.’s Dolittle, is on board for the series. She Along with Dolittle, Laniado also recently appeared in FX’s adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Cavill recently noted that the second season would start production shortly in an Instagram update. Also returning for season two are Freya Allan as Princess Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. Jodhi May will also return as Queen Calanthe.

According to Netflix, 76 million viewers watched The Witcher during the first month after its debut. Unfortunately, the second season won’t debut until sometime in 2021.
