There’s a probability that Bullseye could join the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. In the first season, Bullseye was manipulated into killing Foggy Nelson by Vanessa, but he sort of redeemed himself by going against her, Kingpin, and their allies. While he did showcase his killing tendencies, his twisted heroic side was reflected, too, when he saved the governor of New York. As he’s set to appear in Season 3, many speculate that this could set up his future with a super team.
Is Bullseye joining the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers?
Towards the end of Season 2, Bullseye’s association with Mr. Charles, who works for Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, could potentially lead him to join the Thunderbolts or the Dark Avengers in the future. He’s also set to appear in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, where his future with his team could be laid out.
Mr. Charles’ goals appear to be well-aligned with Valentina’s, given that he actively searches for enhanced individuals to recruit. It is exactly what Valentina did before Thunderbolts* and the New Avengers announcement. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 takes place before that, and since Bullseye wasn’t in that movie, it’s likely that he is being set up for the future.
As of now, he has replaced Luke Cage for the CIA’s covert international missions. This could prove to be a test for him to eventually join what’s left of the Thunderbolts, now the New Avengers, after Avengers: Doomsday.
However, there are also chances that Bullseye’s current arc and anti-heroism might not sit well with the New Avengers team. So, instead of making him fit in the current mix, Valentina and Charles might make another setup for him to channel his anti-hero antics, and he could eventually be a part of Marvel’s Dark Avengers.
It’ll be interesting to see how Bullseye’s arc continues in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 next year.
