Isagi encourages Nigeria to play well
The chapter starts with a focus on Yoichi Isagi, who is in control of his unexplored ego and excitement, and steals the ball to counterattack. Seeing Isagi in this form, Nigeria’s nazi wonders if he would ever be able to play and live like Isagi. Just then, Isagi challenges Nigeria to change their playstyle and beat Blue Lock and his brain. Japan’s captain, Oliver Aiku, then questions Isai about why he is provoking his opponents, as Ego has told them to keep Nigeria at O goals. Isagi reasons that if something awakens in the opponents, he would be able to experience a different level of soccer.
Kuso gets the ball after Oboabona’s interception
Isagi further expresses his wish to stop the egoist from Nigeria’s team from evolving. On the other hand, Aiku seems astonished by the greed that Isagi has. As Isagi plans to attack, he asks Aiku to take care of the rear. Isagi passes the ball to Bachira, and he sends it toward Reo. However, Oboabona intercepts and passes the ball to Kuso.
Kuso advances toward the goal
A flashback scene shows Kuso suggesting to Onazi how they should enhance Nigeria’s attack by employing another forward instead of just one. However, Onazi disagreed, saying that he wants to win the World Cup for his team. In the present, Onazi looks at Kuso for a pass, but the latter, inspired by Isagi’s ego, decides to move forward on his own. Seeing Kuso in the new form, Karasu questions if Isagi’s words affected him, while Raichi asks everyone to defend. At the end of the chapter, Kuso prepares to strike the ball while Aiku watches him emerge as an egoist.
