Luffy becomes a genie to fight Imu
The chapter begins after Luffy assumes his Gear 5 form to attack Imu. The World Government Leader addresses him as Joy Boy, to which Luffy responds by telling him to use his real name. According to the spoilers, Luffy takes the form of a genie while in Gear 5 to fight Imu. The scene then shows a flashback that belongs not to Luffy or Loki, but to Imu.
Luffy gets stabbed by Imu with a sword
The flashback gives fans a glimpse of Joy Boy. Fans learn that Joy Boy had a smile similar to Luffy’s. Soon after, the fight between the two turns intense. Imu then uses the spear he had and transforms it into a sword called Void. He unleashes an attack on Luffy and stabs him with the sword. The attack mimics that of Crocodile on Luffy and how the Straw Hat captain was stabbed then.
Imu calls Luffy weak
The chapter then nears its end, showing Imu confronting Luffy in the middle of their battle. The World Government leader mocks Luffy, telling him he will never be like Joy Boy despite the similarities he shares with the legendary figure. Imu further tells Luffy that Joy Boy was strong, and the former is just a weak version of him. The manga will be on break next week.
