Fans of Hulu’s animated sci-fi comedy Solar Opposites have been left guessing about what’s next for the show.
After multiple fun and successful seasons following Korvo, Terry, and the Pupa, the series wrapped up its storylines in Season 6, and fans are asking if there’s even going to be a Season 7.
Is Solar Opposites Canceled or Renewed for Season 7?
The short answer is NO. There won’t be a seventh season. Hulu confirmed that Season 6, which premiered on October 13, 2025, is the show’s final chapter. Co-creator Mike McMahan said he wanted to deliver a satisfying conclusion rather than drag the story on unnecessarily.
When asked why Solar Opposites is ending with Season 6, co-creator Mike McMahan said the team could have kept going, but without funding, the production would have been basic, and the artists needed to earn a living and take care of themselves. Despite wrapping up the series, McMahan noted that the team found a way to leave the door open for potential future stories.
Executive producer Josh Bycel said the team didn’t know at first that Season 6 would be the last. Even so, they were able to bring all the storylines together from the Silver Cops to the Wall while keeping the spotlight on the Solars. Bycel also added that the season feels like the end of the first chapter, wrapping things up nicely but still leaving room for more down the road.
Thomas Middleditch, who voices Terry, said, “You’re going to expect everything you’ve ever wanted from ‘Solar Opposites’,” Middleditch said. “You’re going to expect new stuff, silly stuff, stuff with heart, and stuff that will put a period and both sorts of an ellipses on various storylines. It’s gonna be a very satisfying conclusion.”
If you haven’t watched the finale yet, you can stream all of Season 6 right now on Hulu and Disney+.
Season 6 wraps up the major storylines, from the Pupa’s fate to the aliens trying to adjust to life on Earth, including everything that is happening in the human neighborhood.
