Gen V Season 2 Reveals Who the Burnt Old Man at Cipher’s Home Is

In Gen V Season 2, Episode 4, Cate and Jordan find a burnt old man at Cipher’s home. While it wasn’t clear at the moment, Cipher eventually sheds some light on who that man was later in the episode. For viewers who want to know more, here are the key details Cipher reveals about the man.

Who is the burnt old man at Cipher’s home in Gen V Season 2?

In Gen V Season 2, Episode 4, Cipher reveals the burnt old man to be his father.

Cipher hasn’t revealed the name of his man. However, it is heavily speculated that it could be Thomas Godolkin, the co-founder of Godolkin University and a scientist of the Odessa Project.

Thomas Godolkin first appeared in a flashback at the beginning of Season 2, Episode 1. After his fellow scientists injected themselves with Compound V, they all died from its side effects. And during their gruesome death sequence, the lab also caught fire.

While Thomas was shown to have died in the fire, the fourth episode raises the speculation that he was actually saved. And to ensure his survival, he is kept in a hyperbaric chamber. By simply connecting these facts, it can be speculated that the man is Thomas Godolkin and Cipher is his son. Furthermore, it could also explain Cipher’s powers.

While this was one of the biggest revelations, the rest of the episode was also packed. After Jordan revealed to the world that they’re the ones who attacked Cate, Cipher decides to do some damage control. He forces Jordan and Marie to fight in a public match, threatening them with sending Emma back to Elmira if they refuse. Later, they reluctantly team up with Cate to expose Cipher in front of everyone.

Meanwhile, Marie trains with Cipher for the match, where she also senses that there is no Compound V in his bloodstream. Later in the episode, Cipher reveals his power by controlling Jordan’s mind to force Marie to use her powers.
