Fans will have one last shot to get the Harry Potter popcorn buckets in the shape of House book at Marcus Theatres. The limited-edition collectible combos, which features both a book-like popcorn bucket and a matching cup, were quickly snatched up at Regal and Harkin Theatres. Now the full set of eight pieces — that’s a book and cup for Slytherin (green), Hufflepuff (yellow), Ravenclaw (blue), and Gryffindor (red) — can be seen priced on eBay at $500 or more. Fortunately, those still looking to purchase them at their regular, far-more-affordable base price need only wait for the Harry Potter collectible buckets to arrive at Marcus.
When will the Harry Potter collectible popcorn buckets be at Marcus?
Marcus Theatres have confirmed that the Harry Potter collectible popcorn bucket and cup will be available on September 7, 2025 in theatres only (while supplies last of course).
This was revealed in an official Instagram post by the theater chain back on August 19, but it’s worth a reminder given that the collectibles are pretty much sold out everywhere.
The September 7 date coincides with the re-release of the Harry Potter movies at Marcus Theaters, where they will be showing all eight of them on a weekly basis from September 7 to October 27 for only $25. It doesn’t say that customers need to purchase a ticket to this series to get the collectible combo.
That said, the other details about the collectible combo’s price and how customers can order these items are fairly thin. If we go by how much the combo cost at Regal and Harkin, they should only be $30 for each of the four sets, but given their demand and rarity, their price could be raised a little. There’s no word on how many of these sets customers can buy at a time, either.
The post’s “in theaters only” clause makes it sound like Marcus won’t be releasing the Harry Potter popcorn buckets in its online store. This would be somewhat out of the ordinary for the chain, considering that it’s offering popcorn buckets for both Demon Slayer Infinity Castle at $24.99 and The Conjuring: Last Rites at $44.99 via pre-order. Still, that might be for the best considering that the Harry Potter collectibles would be flooded online with orders.
