Many Potterheads are looking for the new Harry Potter popcorn bucket that will be released exclusively at Regal Cinemas. The book-like popcorn tin is paired with a matching tumbler as a part of a collectible combo, aptly named the House Combo, and comes in four different colors and designs appropriate to each Harry Potter House (that’s Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw). This comes by way of a promotion for Regal’s “Return to Hogwarts” special where they will air all eight Harry Potter movies between August 23 and August 31. Here’s when the Harry Potter popcorn bucket is expected to release and how much they will likely be.
What is the new Harry Potter popcorn bucket release date and price?
[Update: Each combo is thankfully only $30, which is quite a bit more affordable.]
[Original] It’s estimated that the release date for the Harry Potter popcorn bucket will be roughly August 21-23 and will likely cost $40-$50 as part of the collectible combo.
This tentative release date is based on comments from Regal in an Instagram post promoting a video of the four popcorn tins. When asked about when the Harry Potter combo will arrive, the theater chain says, “This collectible will go on sale closer to the movie’s release date. Please keep an eye on our promotional emails and social media posts for updates.”
As such, we suspect these popcorn buckets and tumblers may be available for pre-order a few days before the Return to Hogwarts event starts. Otherwise, the collectible combo will likely be available for sale on August 23 and at Regal theaters participating in the event.
As for the price of the House Combo, we settled on the $40 to $50 range mainly due to how much past tumbler and popcorn bucket combos at Regal cost. For instance, the Jurassic Word: Rebirth Dinosaur Incubator LED Tumbler & Popcorn Bucket Combo costs $55.95. The Harry Potter collectible combo is not as intricate or complicated, so we think it won’t be as expensive.
That said, some Harry Potter fans will understandably want all four sets, so hopefully there will be a discount for those who want to purchase the entire lot. There’s no word yet on whether customers can purchase the popcorn buckets and tumblers separately.
The new Harry Potter TV series is expected to air in 2027 on HBO Max.
