The special screening for the K-Pop Demon Hunters sing-along is arriving soon in select theaters nationwide, and many fans are wondering how to score some last-minute tickets. Netflix revealed about a week ago on August 15 that a sing-along version of its popular animated original film would be airing on the silver screen for a limited time in the US, Australia, Canada, UK, and New Zealand. This event will occur on this upcoming weekend, August 23 and 24, but there may actually be more release dates than that depending on the participating theaters. Here’s where to get a ticket for the K-Pop Demon Hunters theatrical release.
Where to purchase K-Pop Demon Hunters Sing-Along event tickets
The best site to find out where you can buy a ticket to the K-Pop Demon Hunters Sing-Along theatrical release depends on the country. For theaters in the US and Canada, the SingKPopDemonHunters site is best (the UK version of the site is available too). Meanwhile, Hoyts is the best place for those in Australia and New Zealand.
Numerous theaters will be participating in this special screening, including AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and many local cinemas. Most of the showtimes are available all throughout August 23 and 24, but if you check the dates, there is a chance that you’ll find theaters that have extended the event up to Thursday, August 28, providing four extra days for fans to attend.
That said, we must note that Alamo Drafthouse has the best version of this event as it is offering live-hosted movie parties for the sing-along (price is around $25-$30). Getting a ticket will get customers a “Soda Pop” lip balm, purple glowstick, several Ramyeon cups, greeting cards, band buttons, and photo cards.
It’s unclear how many of the songs in the movie will have sing-along lyrics. but we expect that there will be at least six. This is because Netflix and Sony have posted lyric videos for “Soda Pop,” “How It’s Done,” “Golden,” “Your Idol,” “Takedown,” and “Strategy.” That said, the full soundtrack has twelve songs on the album, so we expect that there will be more than just the six (it would be disappointing otherwise).
As for the sequel, there’s a chance that K-Pop Demon Hunters 2 may not release on Netflix.
