Marvel has confirmed that the new X-Men film will feature a “very youth-oriented” cast and focus. Kevin Feige emphasized that the story will return to the comic roots of the franchise, centering on young mutants who feel “different,” echoing themes of identity and belonging.

Jake Schreier told The Playlist that the reboot will be “recognizably different” from the Fox films. He added that the source material allows for a scale and tone suitable for a fresh cinematic take.
