After a decade of being one of the most popular entries in its genre, the famed kids’ animated series Ever After High is leaving Netflix soon, along with many other titles. Since arriving on Netflix back in 2015, Ever After High has remained one of the biggest hits in the kids’ animated space. This has made fans question why Netflix has decided to let go of the show.
But there is no reason for fans to worry, as there is another destination where Ever After High will be available to stream.
When is Ever After High leaving Netflix, and why?
Ever After High debuted in 2015 and has since released five seasons. The Mattel-produced show gave the five seasons different names, with the final season, titled Epic Winter, arriving on August 6, 2025.
The show will depart Netflix on August 6, 2025, exactly five years after the final season arrived. This seems to indicate that the show will leave Netflix because of licensing issues with Mattel. The show was most likely on a five-year exclusive window. That window will come to an end in August of this year.
This could also explain why Netflix is removing the show, despite it garnering 47.20 million viewing hours between 2023 and 2024 (via What’s On Netflix). Many fans have expressed their disappointment about the series leaving Netflix on platforms like Reddit.
But there is no need to worry, as the series will still be available to watch online even though it will no longer be on Netflix. The full episodes of Ever After High will be available to stream on the official YouTube channel of the show. So, fans who wish to watch it can now head to the YouTube channel instead of Netflix.
Alongside Ever After High, Netflix is also removing Jared Freid: 37 & Single, Million Yen Women, and Victim Number 8 in August 2025. It will also take Kardec off the platform that same month.
