Wonder Man is going to be the next major superhero to make his MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) debut with a live-action series following Ironheart. This series will introduce the fascinating new superhero, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Wonder Man is the latest hero from Marvel to make it to the live-action world. The fictional character’s biography states that he is the son of the rich industrialist, Sanford Williams. Simon Williams inherits the fortune, but the company is unable to sustain itself with stiff competition from Stark Industries.

When Simon is caught trying to embezzle funds from his company, he is caught and incarcerated. He naturally blames Tony Stark for this. Eventually, he is approached by Baron Heinrich Zemo, who transforms him into an ion-powered superhero with formidable strength. Taking the moniker of Wonder Man, Zemo entrusts Simon to betray the Avengers after infiltrating them.

However, Wonder Man eventually crosses the bridge to the good side and becomes a part of the Avengers. With powers exceeding many, he becomes one of the strongest characters in the team.

In the MCU, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II takes over the role in the upcoming live-action series. Disney recently gave a first glimpse of the character, and it seemed to indicate that Simon will struggle with the extent of his powers in the MCU, much like he did in the comics.

However, there is one change to the character. It seems that the MCU version of Simon Williams is already an actor before he becomes a superhero. In the comics, this is not the case.
