Jurassic World Rebirth brought back the exciting franchise with some great new additions. Though the film is not full of brutal deaths, it has several shocking moments . One of the defining scenes in the end involves Mahershala Ali’s Duncan Kincaid. So, what really happens to Duncan as the D-rex goes on chasing him? And what happens to his child?

What happened to Duncan Kincaid’s child in Jurassic World Rebirth?
Duncan Kincaid remained a pivotal character throughout the movie. His past was also a subject that was teased through the film, including the fate of his child. But he became especially important in the final moments of the movie.
In the final moments of Jurassic World Rebirth, the crew is faced with the massive D-rex. The mutant dinosaur is bigger and more lethal than any fans have seen before. With the mission completed, the group now tries to escape through the river, but it seems that they will not be able to get away unscathed.
Duncan enters at this point and manages to distract the creature with a flare. This, of course, is a clever throwback to the original Jurassic Park movie. This makes the D-rex chase Duncan, allowing the others to escape.
It seems at this point that Duncan gives up his life to help the others. The character was intriguing from the very start, as the movie constantly teased a tragic past. It was hinted in the film that his child had died earlier.
Does Duncan Kincaid die or survive in Jurassic World Rebirth, and how?
As for Duncan Kincaid, he does manage to survive despite leading the Dinosaur away. He perhaps managed to do this by using the darkness to sneak out as the D-rex was seemingly attracted to the light.
In the end, he did manage to get out alive with the rest of the group. How Duncan exactly survived was not shown in the film, but it may have to do with the D-rex chasing the flare’s light.
Jurassic World Rebirth is now playing in theaters.
