With the long-standing speculation about Ryan Gosling joining the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) in Avengers: Doomsday, fans now have something new to ponder. Can Ryan Gosling really be the White Black Panther? Or perhaps the long-speculated Ghost Rider? The chances are slim, but not zero.
Will Ryan Gosling play Black Panther or Ghost Rider in Avengers: Doomsday?
Of course, none of the Ryan Gosling speculation is confirmed news. The actor has not been confirmed yet for Avengers: Doomsday. However, fans remain hopeful that they will be able to see the famed actor in a Marvel role soon. This is not entirely impossible, as Kevin Feige has previously commented that he would love to find Ryan Gosling a place in the MCU.
After rumors emerged that Ghost Rider would be in Avengers: Doomsday, many speculated that Gosling could join as Johnny Blaze. Gosling has also previously expressed his interest in playing Ghost Rider during an interview promoting The Fall Guy. Fans have since remained hopeful that Gosling could turn up in the MCU as the iconic character.
Some speculations have linked Ryan Gosling to another role that seems rather bizarre. A meme previously kickstarted rumors that Gosling could star as Black Panther. But with a huge development in Marvel Knights: The World To Come #1, things have taken a surprising turn. It seems this may not be as distant a possibility as most had thought.
In this 2025 issue, Ketema, the new Black Panther after T’Challa, unmasked himself to reveal that he was white. This shocking revelation means that there is now a possibility that a white actor could play the Black Panther, and Ryan Gosling could theoretically fit the part.
However, all of this currently remains speculation, as Marvel has not officially cast Ryan Gosling in any role to date.
