Many collectors are wondering how much the Galactus Fantastic 4 popcorn bucket will be at AMC theaters. It’s not every day that Marvel Entertainment advertises a popcorn vessel, let alone release a 40-second video calling the Galactus collectible “the universe’s biggest popcorn vessel.” Indeed, the bucket stands 17.5 inches tall and is 20 inches wide, so it’s understandable that a lot of fans of The Fantastic Four and Galactus himself would want to buy it. However, even AMC’s official announcement of the popcorn bucket doesn’t reveal a price of any kind.
How much is the AMC Galactus Fantastic Four popcorn bucket?
The AMC Galactus Fantastic Four popcorn bucket will cost $79.99, making it one of the most expensive popcorn buckets that the theater has ever offered (it might be the most expensive actually).
This is the official price of the popcorn bucket based on the new listing at the AMC Theaters shop. Most of the time, AMC collectible popcorn buckets don’t go past the $50 mark, but apparently due to the size of the bucket and the blue-purple LED lights for the eyes, the cost has gone up thirty dollars.
The description for the Galactus popcorn bucket reveals that the bucket is so big that it requires a much larger box for shipping and thus will cost more to ship. (At the time of writing, though, the product description seems to have copied and pasted bullet points for a shirt made out of Kunuflex with washing recommendations. We imagine that a popcorn bucket should not be machine washed and tumbled dry on low. Hopefully, this description will be fixed later.)
At any rate, those who are interested in grabbing the popcorn bucket before limited supplies run out can add the item to their wishlist and be notified as to when the product will be available for sale. The announcement on Instagram says that it will be available on July 24, the day before the movie releases, but it might be open to pre-order before that. And given the novelty of the item, it’s expected that they will be sold out within the first week (and then resold on eBay for hundreds of dollars).
There’s currently no listing for the other Fantastic Four popcorn bucket called the H.E.R.B.I.E. Concession Vessel, but the official announcement from AMC says that it will also be available starting on July 24.
