There are ongoing speculations that the two-minute-long post-credit scene in Thunderbolts* could potentially set up the appearance of Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk in Avengers: Doomsday. She was introduced into the MCU in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, which was released in 2022. She was an ordinary district attorney—until an incident led to her receiving her cousin Bruce Banner’s blood, which led to her irreversible physical transformation. Now, there are rumors that Maslany’s character might next appear in Doomsday, and that the MCU’s latest release has already teased her return. Here are all the details on why fans think she could appear in the 2026 movie.
How does Thunderbolts* tease She-Hulk’s Avengers: Doomsday appearance?
The post-credit scene in Thunderbolts* takes place 14 months after the events of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine announcing the team of misfits as The New Avengers in front of the press. It then showcases the former Avengers headquarters, rebranded with the new moniker. The team assembles there and discusses Sam Wilson, aka Captain America’s, latest move. He has filed a copyright and is suing the new team for using the Avengers name.
Now, with a legal battle set in motion, Wilson might look for a potential lawyer to fight the case, which could lead MCU’s attorney, Jennifer Walters, to step in. She has been shown to be familiar with trademark cases, as Titania also sued her. The lawsuit was over the use of She-Hulk, which was Titania’s makeup product line. However, she emerged victorious in the case, with the aid of Mallory Book, an attorney at her firm. Given her track record for handling superhero-related cases, the team could include her in resolving the new Avengers trademark issue.
Additionally, Maslany recently skipped the Comic Con Liverpool event. The official handle for the event on Instagram revealed that she wasn’t able to make it to the event. She was busy filming an undisclosed project, which many believe could be Avengers: Doomsday.
Previously, a few pieces of concept art leaked, in which She-Hulk and Hulk’s presence were teased. They appeared to be in a village in Latveria, where some action could potentially take place. However, Marvel has not yet confirmed She-Hulk’s appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. Although the official roll call left her out, rumors suggest the studio might eventually add her to the movie.
