Listen To the First Two Episodes of Marvel’s Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord

Peter Quill and Rocket Raccoon’s new adventure has finally begun. According to Marvel.com, the first two episodes of Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord are streaming everywhere.

The new scripted podcast centers on the two former Guardians of the Galaxy, now older and slower with age. When they return to a dying Earth three decades after the world’s most powerful supervillains have taken over the planet, they find a post-apocalyptic hellscape far beyond anything they could have imagined. Making their way across the ruins of the United States, they run afoul of several old enemies, including Doctor Doom, who has assumed control of the entire midwest. Their travels also bring them face to face with Emma Frost, Kraven the Hunter, and even a few “outlaw Ghost Riders” as they continue their search for the mysterious artifact known as the Black Vortex.

Marvel previously entered the scripted podcast game in 2018 with Wolverine: The Long Night, whose success eventually led to a follow-up season, The Lost Trail, in 2019. Both seasons were written by Benjamin Percy, who went on to relaunch Marvel’s ongoing Wolverine comic book series and is now presiding over Wastelanders as well. The new series features the voice talents of Timothy Busfield as Peter Quill and Chris Elliott as Rocket. Other cast members include Nadine Malouf, Patrick Page, Vanessa Williams, and Danny Glover.

The remaining eight episodes of Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord will continue to be released on a weekly basis. You can listen to the first two installments below.
