The Mortal Kombat Spawn toy has become one of the most popular action figures this year. So quickly did it sell out that McFarlane Toys produced two reissues, each with a different weapon to distinguish the run. And now they’re doing it again, with a 1000-figure limited edition for Walmart.com. This version will be the second edition, with mace, but come personally autographed by creator Todd McFarlane.
Now, given recent attempts by Walmart.com to sell collectible figures, it’s entirely likely this figure will sell-out preorders instantly. The company announced an onsale date of Friday, August 7th, starting at 2 p.m. eastern time that day. When ready, the landing page should appear here. As before, Spawn features the now-standard up-to-22 points of articulation McFarlane body, with a non-removable cape and textured costume.

Voiced by Keith David, Spawn became the final DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11‘s Fighter Pack 1. With McFarlane Toys already signed to do Mortal Kombat figures, the choice seemed a no-brainer. While the character can sport a number of color schemes in the game, including Deadpool-style red and black, the toy uses a classic comic look. Though the textures arguably look movie-inspired.
