The Hollywood Reporter says that Superman Returns took over the national DVD sales and rental charts for the week ending December 3:
According to Nielsen VideoScan First Alert data, “Superman” outsold “Ice Age” by a margin of only 2.5-to-1, while “Ice Age” generated an additional $8 million in rental revenue to bring its take after two weeks to $18.3 million. “Superman” generated nearly $13 million at the rental counter, one of the highest debuts all year.
