‘Abe’, who has provided us with some excellent Ghost Rider set reports in the past, is back again with new details from Sydney:
I’ve some more set reports for Ghost Rider, and of course I’m coming to Superherohype to report them.
Today I heard it from a reliable source that the next wave of Ghost Rider shots are happening at the moment, and also into next week.
Tonight’s shot is occuring on the Sandhurst rail-line, which is an abandonded trainline coming away from Flinders Street Station and crossing over the Yarra River towards Crown Casino.
I went down to check it out for myself and sure enough there were flood lights and camera crew all setting up and in place.
Security wasn’t very tight as the working-day crowd were crossing over to the station, but I did see scafolding across the dead-end section of the rail-line.
Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera, but I did see someone snapping a few choice shots.
Word is the shot will begin later in the evening, but I decided not to stick around waiting to see something, if anything.
Also from this source I have heard the shooting will next be at the AXA Plaza on Collins Street both tomorrow and Friday night. I plan to have another look then and see if I can spot something interesting.
Then on Monday the 18th the cast and crew will be moving to Bacchus Marsh for a few days of filming, both day and night shots.
There has been plenty of rumour about what these shots will be of, scene-wise, yet I can’t say a word on them as it would be purely speculative on my part.
Again, once I see some more at these sets I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Later, the scooper sent an update on the above:
Just got some more word on the Sandhurst Bridge filming for Ghost Rider, which is happening right now. Of course, I’m back here letting you all know what I can.
Just been told that Nic Cage is at the set in full black leather. Of course my source is as close as he can be (which is unfortunately on the other side of the Yarra).
Word is they are filming under the bridge at the moment, and it looks as if Nic Cage has a yellow motorcycle helmet on. Possibly to be used to CGI a skull and flames on afterwards…?
Who else but the production team know.
Either way, just giving you the heads up.
Ole`!
