ComingSoon.net reports that Blade: Trinity opened in the second spot at the box office:
New Line Cinema’s Blade: Trinity, written and directed by David Goyer, opened in the second spot with $16.1 million from 2,912 theaters. The third and final film in the franchise was budgeted at $65 million and has collected $24.5 million since its release on Wednesday. Blade II opened in first place in March, 2002, with $32.5 million.
