With the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, many critics are already griping about the film’s overcrowded roster of heroes and villains and that it doesn’t quite measure up to the first film, but with a little perspective on just how bad Marvel movies used to be they might not be as prone to look a gift horse in the mouth. Hence, we have gathered up all the Marvel movies made before the year 2000 into one historical guide to give you an idea of just how bad things could be.
Ranging from the infamous to the unwatchable, most of these movies are so bad they make Daredevil look like The Dark Knight, and so cheaply made they couldn’t afford the honey-wagon budget on a Kevin Feige production. Some of our older readers might hold a few of these movies near and dear to their heart, and so we’ve tried to point out some positive aspects as well… at least, whenever possible. But don’t worry, because if you’ve been paying attention to the state of superhero movies in the last decade, then you know this story has a happy ending!
