SuperHeroHype is debuting the exclusive reveal of Minor Threats: The Cleaner, a brand new entry in the Minor Threats comic series from Gerry Duggan and Mark Torres.
What is Minor Threats: The Cleaner about?
Minor Threats: The Cleaner dives deeper into the superhero side of the Minor Threats series (which was created by Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum). The Cleaner follows the story of the titular Cleaner. By day, David O’Halloran is a struggling small-business owner, but by night, he dons spandex and goes out to dispose of the aftermath of superhero battles that take place in Twilight City.
Minor Threats: The Cleaner’s first issue of its four-issue run will be available in comic shops on November 11, 2026, and is available to pre-order now. The first issue features cover art by Scott Hepburn and Torres, and is lettered by Nate Piekos.

“By day, David O’Halloran is a struggling small-business owner. By night, he’s the spandex world’s last call for cleanup—disposing of the un-disposable with precision, secrecy, and a price. But when his path crosses with the deadly and dazzling Diamond Dahlia, everything changes. She has a secret past with the legendary vigilante The Insomniac, and it’s about to erupt onto the blood-slicked streets,” reads the official synopsis for Minor Threats: The Cleaner.
“When Gerry and Mark introduced The Cleaner in Welcome To Twilight, we knew there were more bodies buried in that fertile ground,” said writer Jordan Blum, who worked on the original comic series. “Along with those rotting heroes and villains was a deeply human, personal, twisted, pulpy, gorgeous story that Gerry and Mark Torres needed their own series to tell. The Cleaner is one of the best examples of what a Minor Threats story can be, a point of view in the genre of spandex we’ve never seen, grounded by an emotional hook that pulls you deep into their world.”
