Marvel has announced a brand new Avengers comic series featuring Spider-Man, Wolverine, and more. The upcoming Avengers run will come from acclaimed artists Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto.
What do we know about the new Avengers series?
In November, Marvel Comics will launch a brand new Avengers series in the aftermath of the upcoming Avengers: Armageddon. The five-issue limited series by Zdarsky, Delio Diaz and Frank Alpizar is set to launch on June 10, 2026.
Once the Armageddon run is done, Avengers #1 will arrive later this year under the Earth’s Mightiest Survivors title. Marvel has revealed details on the fan-favorite superheroes who will be featured in Avengers #1.
The official description reads, “With the world order completely rewritten after the events of Avengers: Armageddon, a day unlike any other arrives, when a new group of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes find themselves united to avenge the Marvel Universe: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Luke Cag, and an all-new hero set to make their explosive debut soon!”
Before Avengers #1 arrives, fans will witness a seismic shift in the world following the events of Armageddon. Red Hulk will launch a devastating conquest over the world after obtaining a secret weapon that grants him the ability to see all possible futures and control the Avengers’ fates.
Speaking about writing the new Avengers run, artist Zdarsky said, “It’s obviously a massive honor getting to write the world’s greatest super hero team! And after what happens in Avengers: Armageddon, this lineup is angry as hell and ready to avenge.”
Zdarsky is reuniting with Marco Checchetto for this new series. Previously, they have worked together on the Daredevil comics. “I’m thrilled there was an opportunity to do something new with him. It’s in moments like these where Chip’s utter madness comes through,” said Checchetto on teaming up with Zdarsky.
While Avengers #1 is set for November, it has yet to receive a specific release date.
