SuperHeroHype can exclusively reveal a new cover for Ekos Volume 2.
Ekos is a comic and entertainment universe that is inspired by the art and creations of Michael Turner and Geoff Johns. Produced by David Maisel, who is known for being a founding Marvel Studios chairman, and Aspen Comics, Ekos Volume 2 will launch on Kickstarter later this month.
The exclusive Volume 2 reveal, which can be viewed below, is a set of four interconnections covers by Turner, marking the only time that Turner has drawn. all of his characters together. The colors are done by Turner’s longtime collaborator, Peter Steigerwald.
What is Ekos Volume 2 about?
“Ekos Volume 2 continues the story of a new superstar in Grell, who, in Volume 1, embarked on a journey to discover the world of Ekos,” a description of the graphic novel reads. “Grell encountered many of the beloved characters from Michael Turner’s legacy, including superstars Aspen (Fathom) and Grace (Soulfire), and joined forces with them on a shared mission. Remarkably, Ekos is the first time these characters have all come together in the same universe, and now Volume 2 continues their journey as they deal with turmoil within their realms and climactic interactions with the humans!”
The creative team for the second volume of Ekos includes writer J.T. Krul, pencil artist Alex Konat, digital inker Mark Roslan, color artist Steigerwald, and letterer Josh Reed.
An Ekos movie is also in development, with a rough cut of the trailer having been shown at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer. The footage, which comes from Mythos Studios, can be seen in an article from The Hollywood Reporter by clicking here.
