Halloween ComicFest Reveals This Year’s List of Titles

Free Comic Book Day has already come and gone. However, readers will have another chance to enjoy exciting new stories on the house this year. Only this time, they will all take on a more haunting flavor. Now The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Diamond Comic Distributors has just unveiled the list of issues that will be released for this fall’s Halloween ComicFest event.

This year’s edition of Halloween ComicFest will see the release of 19 full-size comics and nine “mini-comics.” The mini-comics will also be available in packs of 25 for $4.99 at the start of October. This may seem small compared to the more diverse selections of Free Comic Book Day. Regardless, many of the industry’s top publishers are getting in on the action.

Marvel and DC both have several options lined up for the event. Moreover, in keeping with the spooky theme, DC is releasing a special reprint of DCeased #1. They will also have a limited edition copy of The Secret Spiral of Swamp Kid/Black Canary: Ignite. Addittionally, Marvel is offering titles headlined by Iron Man, Ghost Rider, Miles Morales, and Boba Fett. Independent companies like Dark Horse, IDW, and Boom! Studios are participating as well.

Ashton Greenwood, a spokesperson for Halloween ComicFest, shared how the event is meant to attract audiences of all types.

“The comics available this year are designed to appeal to a broad range of tastes, from the all-ages Mini Comics featuring popular properties like Archie, DC Superhero Girls, Nickelodeon’s The Loud House, and Pokémon, while the Full-Size Comics feature well-known characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Boba Fett, Iron Man, and Batman,” said Greenwood in a statement.

Halloween ComicFest will take place on October 26. You can check out the full list of free comics below and also find more information on the event’s official website. Which titles are you most excited to read? Let us know in the comment section!
