Clover Press and Marvel Comics have recognized many great artists with books profiling their work. Mike Del Mundo, best known for his work on X-Men and Thor, has become the latest artist to be so honored. Previous honorees include David Mack, Michael Turner, and Mike Allred, among others.
While working for Marvel since 2010, Mike Del Mundo first found fame doing covers for 2012’s X-Men: Legacy. He soon built up a following of fans who loved his high-concept designs and vivid colors. Del Mundo was also honored by the industry with multiple Harvey and Eisner Award nominations. He won the 2013 Joe Shuster Award for Outstanding Cover Artist.
SuperHeroHype is proud to offer an exclusive look at the cover for The Marvel Art of Mike Del Mundo. The cover, which can be viewed below, features Wolverine and Thor.

Marvel Art of Mike Del Mundo Kickstarter explained

As with earlier Clover Press productions, the Marvel Art of Mike Del Mundo is supported by both a Kickstarter drive and BackerKit campaign. These will give fans a chance to acquire additional bonus items. These include 11″ x 17″ prints, posters, stickers, a puzzle, autographed books, and original sketches. There will also be a 5″ X 7.5″ softcover sketchbook highlighting the creative process in crafting many pieces in the main book.
“I’ve always been a Marvel kid,” recalled Del Mundo. “I still remember the thrill of landing my very first gig with Marvel and then sprinting to the shop that unforgettable Wednesday to see it on the shelves. That moment meant everything to me. Fast forward 15 years, and somehow I’m still here, doing what I love, with a whole body of work about to be collected in a beautiful hardcover. It honestly feels surreal. 12-year-old me would be doing backflips right now!”
