All-Star Superman Audiobook Gets Cast Reveal & Release Date Ahead of DCU Movie

The Summer of Superman just got another major release. All-Star Superman will be adapted into a full-cast audiobook. It will be the first of five DC Comics titles to receive such an adaptation as part of a new partnership with Penguin Random House Audio.

Written by Grant Morrison with art by Frank Quitely, All-Star Superman is regarded as one of the greatest Superman comics ever. The story finds the Man of Steel trying to make peace with his life. This comes after Lex Luthor’s final act of revenge insures his certain doom. However, this does not stop him from trying to make the world a better place ahead of his death.

When is the All-Star Superman audiobook release date?

The All-Star Superman audiobook goes on sale on June 24, 2025. This will place it in stores a few weeks before the release of the highly anticipated DC Universe Superman film. This is notabe as the film is said to be largely inspired by the story of All-Star Superman.

The adaptation will be written by Meghan Fitzmartin and feature a full cast of 25 voice actors. Clark Kent will be voiced by Marc Thompson, best known for his work narrating many Star Wars audiobooks. Lois Lane will be played by Kristen Sieh from House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Boardwalk Empire. The full cast list can be found at DC Comics’ blog.

“With the All-Star Superman audiobook, we aim to provide an ideal entry point for newcomers to the Superman legacy while also drawing them into our rich literature,” said Anne DePies, SVP and general manager of DC. “At the same time, we’re capturing the imaginations of longtime fans, podcast lovers, and audiobook aficionados by offering direct adaptations that faithfully bring their beloved stories to life.”

“I’ve been a fan of All-Star Superman since its initial publication 20 years ago, and we’re thrilled to work with DC to adapt Morrison and Quitely’s extraordinary vision in a fresh way unique to the audiobook,” said Lance Fitzgerald, SVP, Content and Business Development. “In her adapted audio script, Meghan Fitzmartin takes listeners inside the minds of the characters, including their inner thoughts. We hear Zibarro wrestling with his uniqueness, Lex Luthor’s imperiousness, and Superman’s own reflections on his world and his mortality.”
