Earlier this year, Marvel announced that it would be celebrating 50 years of its Giant-Size line with an all-new collection of massive one-shots releasing monthly throughout 2024. The publisher has now revealed that Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1 will hit shelves in early March — following Giant-Size Spider-Man #1 in January and Giant-Size Fantastic Four #1 in February.
Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1 comes from writer Melissa Flores, who is also writing the upcoming limited series Spider-Gwen: Smash. Up-and-coming artist Alba Glez joins Flores one the Giant-Size one-shot, which promises to pit Gwen Stacy against the “most sinister threats of Earth-65” — including a brand-new Doctor Octopus.

What to expect from Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1
An official synopsis for Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1 reads as follows: “Swinging from the pages of SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH, Gwen Stacy has finally found some balance in her home dimension. But when the remnants of the Carnage symbiote resurface in Gwen’s bandmate Mary Jane, they attract the attention of something … sinister. Orlando Octavius, the adopted son of Dr. Octopus, now has his sights set on MJ. And Spider-Gwen will have to save her friend from a gauntlet of new and terrifying villains in this oversized spectacular!”
In addition to Flores and Glez’s new story, Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1 reprints 2016’s Spider-Gwen #13 by Jason Latour, Robbi Rodriguez, Rico Renzi, and Clayton Cowles. In that issue, Gwen and the Mary Janes find themselves trapped in a house of horrors created by the villainous Mysterio.
“Helping Gwen Stacy settle into her home dimension in SPIDER-GWEN: SMASH was an incredible pleasure,” Flores said. “Being given the opportunity to continue to develop those relationships in this one-shot was an unexpected jolt of euphoria that I never saw coming. I wasn’t ready to leave Gwen or Earth-65 behind, and I’m so thankful that now I don’t have to!”
Giant-Size Spider-Gwen #1 goes on sale March 6, 2024 from Marvel Comics.
