Sinister Sons: Sinestro and General Zod’s Kids Star in New DC Series

DC has officially announced Sinister Sons, a new comic book series starring the respective offspring of villains Sinestro and General Zod.

Sinister Sons is an obvious play on Super Sons, the iconic duo of Jon Kent/Superboy and Damian Wayne/Robin. Fittingly, Super Sons writer Peter J. Tomasi returns to pen Sinister Sons. Tomasi teams with writer David Lafuente on the new series, which is due to launch in February 2024. The debut issue features a main cover by Brad Walker with Andrew Hennessy, as well as variant covers by Dan Mora, Jamal Campbell, V. Ken Marion with Danny Miki, Ramon Perez, and Pete Woods.

What is DC’s Sinister Sons about?

“When the Lor-Zod, the son of General Zod, was cast off his adopted homeworld of New Kandor, he runs afoul of a kid on a mission, the son of Sinestro!” an official synopsis for the new series reads. “Sinson is out to prove he’s got what it takes to live up to the family name of Sinestro, but all is not as it seems, and the sons’ journeys will take them into the heart of darkness in this sensational first issue! Tomasi and LaFuente are poised to deliver one of the most dynamic debuts of a duo in the history of the DC Universe!”

Sinister Sons #1 goes on sale February 13, 2024 from DC.
