Marvel’s Future Power Man Fights Moon Knight on Timeless #1 Variant Cover

Marvel Comics has revealed artist InHyuk Lee’s variant cover for the upcoming 2023 iteration of Timeless #1.

Timeless #1 is due to arrive in comic shops late this coming December. Lee’s variant cover for the future-set one-shot depicts a battle between Power Man — “the Marvel Universe’s final living super hero,” who wields the power of Sentry, Hulk, and Iron Fist — and the Immortal Moon Knight — a “nightmare borne of StarkTech, the Eternal Machine, and the God of the Moon [Khonshu],” who rules over the entire Earth.

What to expect from Timeless #1 (2023)

This year’s Timeless one-shot hails from writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing and artist Juann Cabal. In this bleak take on Marvel‘s future, “All of time and space is threatened by the rise of an ancient evil.” The aforementioned Power Man is the only one left to stand against “Khonshu’s coming tide of chaos.”

However, Marvel poses the question of who exactly this new incarnation of Power Man is — and how he came to possess the “unstable” powers of his heroic predecessors. “What dark, deeply personal conflict underpins this mind-bending apocalypse?” the publisher asks. “And at the end of the line, can the Marvel Universe ever truly be saved?” The House of Ideas also teases that Timeless #1 “[sets] up sagas that will take place in 2024.”

Timeless #1 goes on sale Wednesday, December 27 from Marvel Comics. The issue features a main cover by Kael Ngu.
