DC Power: 2024 Black History Month Special Features a Far Sector Epilogue

DC‘s celebratory title DC Power returns for a brand-new one-shot late this coming January — just in time for Black History Month 2024.

Following the success of 2023’s DC Power: A Celebration #1, the Burbank-based publisher is once again assembling an all-star team of writers and artists for yet another prestige-format anthology one-shot spotlighting its Black superheroes. N.K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell — the writer/artist duo behind Far Sector — headline the 2024 iteration of DC Power. Jemisin and Campbell reunite for an epilogue to their award-winning Young Animal series, which introduced the Green Lantern known as Jo Mullein to the DC multiverse.

Who else is involved in DC Power 2024?

Coming in at a whopping 104 pages, 2024’s DC Power anthology also features such writers as John Ridley, Brandon Thomas, Lamar Giles, Shawn Martinbrough, Cheryl Lynn Eaton, and Alitha Martinez. They are joined by such artists as Edwin Galmon, Khary Randolph, Denys Cowan, Tony Akins, Asiah Fulmore, and more. Readers can expect a collection of stories starring characters like The Signal, Crispus Allen/The Spectre, Bloodwynd, Val-Zod/Superman, Nubia, and the duo of Thunder and Lightning.

The upcoming one-shot features a main cover by Chase Conley, as well as variant covers by Campbell and Cowan. Check out Conley and Campbell’s covers — plus two unlettered preview pages from Jemisin and Campbell’s Far Sector epilogue — below:
