Exclusive Preview: Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1

Casual comic book fans may be a little lost by the current status quo of Daredevil. So here’s a quick rundown: Matt Murdock went to jail as Daredevil after accidentally killing a man. And because Elektra wanted to regain Matt’s trust, she became the new Daredevil in his absence. Now that Matt is out of jail, there are two Daredevils in the Marvel Universe. However, Wilson Fisk is still the mayor of New York, and he’s out to destroy all superheroes in Marvel’s Devil’s Reign crossover. Of course, Fisk has something special planned for the Daredevils. Fear #1.

In Devil’s Reign, Elektra confronted Fisk in his office. However, she not only failed to intimidate him, she learned that he knows her greatest secret. Elektra once tried to recruit Matt into the Hand. And if Matt ever learns about it then their renewed relationship is over.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1, writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Rafael De Latorre throw Elektra off balance with this revelation. And not even Matt’s encouraging words can lift her spirits.
