The Looney Tunes live-action animated movie has picked up on Marvel’s latest Spider-Man 4. Green’s latest project is currently in second place at the United States box office this weekend. Coming behind Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the official social media account found a way to poke fun at the MCU’s web-slinger.
The official account’s X post reads, “With great irresponsibility comes great power. See #CoyoteVsACME in theaters today.” In the image attached below, the caption cited the movie as the number 1 ‘non-insect’ movie in America. However, their latest post rectified the claim and wrote, “#1 non-arachnid movie in America,” referring to Brand New Day as still number one.
Meanwhile, fans took to the comments section and urged for the movie to be released in more countries. @MichaelVSWarble stated, “15 million? Come on people, we can do better than that.” @Ragefacile pointed out, “French here. We don’t have the movie; can we have a theater release, please.” @Cr1sto_ quipped, “Can y’all add more showings, please? The film’s production budget is $70,000,000, and it has collected 20% of it in four days after its release. The movie has earned a rating of 96% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, while receiving 94% on the Popcornmeter.
The synopsis of the animated animal adventure, per IMDb, reads, “A story set in the ACME warehouse, the manufacturer of anything and everything used by the Looney Tunes characters.”
Coyote vs. Acme was originally completed by Warner Bros. Pictures and was scheduled to release in 2023. However, the studio decided to shelve the project later. Ketchup Entertainment acquired the film in early 2025 and released it globally this year.
