Sebastian Stan‘s new look may have revealed his potential role in The Batman Part II. The anticipated sequel to Matt Reeves‘ 2022 blockbuster will see Robert Pattinson returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Lately, there’s been a strong rumor doing the rounds on the internet regarding Sebastian Stan’s character in The Batman Part II.
Previously, the acclaimed actor was said to be playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face. In June, however, insider Jeff Sneider claimed that Stan would be playing supervillain and twisted serial killer Victor Zsasz.
Now it seems this rumor might be correct, given the actor’s bald look, revealed in a recent photo posted on social media. The appearance matches Victor’s look from DC Comics.
However, all the unverified reports and rumors should be taken with a grain of salt unless there comes any official update.
Victor Zsasz’s Batman history makes the casting theory intriguing
Sebastian Stan’s rumored casting as Victor Zsasz would make The Batman Part II’s story interesting, given the villain’s comic book history.
Zsasz, created by Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle, originally made his appearance in 1992’s Batman: Shadow of the Bat #1. Compared to other Batman villains, he is extremely brutal and deadly. He is famous for carving a tally on his body after killing a victim.
Interestingly, the character has made his live-action appearances in the past. He was played by Tim Booth in Christopher Nolan’s 2005 movie Batman Begins. Anthony Carrigan also portrayed the supervillain character in DC’s Gotham TV show. Zsasz was also played by Chris Messina in 2020’s Birds of Prey DC movie.
In case Sebastian Stan ends up playing Zsasz in The Batman Part II, it may result in a brutal, grounded, and bloody experience than the first installment.
The Batman Part II hits theaters on February 18, 2028. The ensemble cast of the anticipated sequel will also feature Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Brian Tyree Henry (Dope Thief, Atlanta), and Charles Dance (Game of Thrones).
