Secret Wars’ Avengers Line-up Has 3 Never-Seen-Before Heroes — Report

A new report suggests that a team in Avengers: Secret Wars might include three never-before-seen superheroes. This comes after a previous rumor suggested the Defenders team would play a major role in Secret Wars. Currently, Marvel is gearing up for the release of Avengers: Doomsday, which will be out on December 18.

New rumor hints at three never seen before heroes in MCU

Recently, scooper Alex Perez suggested that Avengers: Secret Wars might feature three never-before-seen superheroes in one of the teams appearing in the movie.

During a recent Q&A session by The Cosmic Circus, a fan asked Perez whether the resistance team in Secret Wars will include heroes missing from Doomsday, i.e., “Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Vision, Star-Lord, Hulk, Wong, etc.”

In his reply, Perez stated, “Partially, yes. There’s a sort of hierarchy for the Resistance Avengers.” Suggesting the different factions fans can expect to see in the team, Perez commented, “There’s the leaders (older, established figures), there’s the newbies (The younger heroes), and there’s the never-before-seen characters (there’s 3 atm).”

He further noted that Secret Wars might feature shorter teams “chasing different stories.” This is similar to how Avengers operated and hunted down the stones in Avengers: Endgame.

As of now, not much is known about the plot or who will be featured in Secret Wars. Although Marvel’s major focus at present is Doomsday, head Kevin Feige did confirm something significant about Secret Wars.

In a recent interview with Josh Horowitz, Feige was asked whether Secret Wars will be divided into two parts, as previous rumors suggested. However, to this, Feige replied, “Not this world.” He also conveyed that the “roadmap” Marvel Studios is looking to follow after Secret Wars is the one that follows Jonathan Hickman’s comic book.

Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to be out in theaters on December 17, 2027.
