What happened in Blue Lock Chapter 340 Part 2?
The previous chapter, titled “No Guard (Part 2),” begins with Barou picking up Isagi’s pass. He dribbles through France’s defense and aims to score in a single shot. Out of nowhere, Hugo catches up and steals the ball, shocking Barou. Hugo says that Blue Lock is trying to trick them by using a Tabito Karasu-centered play, while Isagi’s selected players attack from behind. He takes their new strategy as a challenge and announces that he will play the same way.
Loki and Charles move up the field. Reo notices their play and warns his team to look out. Hugo kicks the ball past Reo, which lands with Leyden. While continuing to block Loki, Isagi is surprised by France’s play. Leyden then says that Loki isn’t the only striker on their team. He passes Isagi at an incredible speed towards the goalpost. Isagi realizes that France noticed that his team is clustered in the center, and that Leyden is positioned where Blue Lock has only a few players.
On the stands, Anri is panicking that France has successfully analyzed their new strategy and is already countering it. Ego says that France is also shifting to a hyper-offensive strategy. Looking at France’s intense play, Anri says this is why they are number one.
On the field, Leyden makes a shot-like pass towards the goalpost. Gagamaru is unable to decide whether to react to it. By the time he realizes that it was a trap, Loki jumps to take the pass. However, Kunigami arrives at the last moment and headbutts the ball away.
