Many fans are wondering what the Peacemaker season 2 runtimes might be, particularly when compared to the show’s first season on HBO Max. Fortunately, the episode lengths are generally the same (well, at least from the information that we have so far). The second season will make its debut on HBO Max on August 21, 2025, when it will release the first episode and then continue along at a weekly pace until the beginning of October. Here’s how long every episode will be for the second season of Peacemaker starring John Cena, Danielle Brooks, and Freddie Stroma.
How long is each Peacemaker Season 2 episode?
From what we can tell so far, every episode in Peacemaker Season 2 is roughly 37 to 44 minutes long. That said, we only have information on the runtimes for the first five episodes (out of eight) of the second season.

These episode lengths come from a post by user Cryptic4KQual on X (formerly Twitter). Ostensibly, the reason why we only have the runtime details for the first five episodes is because the press only had access to them and not the last three episodes of the season. We’ll update this guide once we learn more.
These runtimes are within a similar ballpark as those for the first season. Specifically, for that season the first episode was 46 minutes, the second was 40 minutes, the third was 39 minutes, the fourth was 46 minutes, and the fifth was 42 minutes. So by comparison, the first five episodes of season two is seven minutes long, which is really nothing to fuss over.
Thus far, the critics have been thoroughly enjoying the second season, which at the time of writing has a 100% Tomatometer score from Rotten Tomatoes.
As a reminder, James Gunn confirmed that the second season of Peacemaker will be canon to his DCU timeline and that it takes place about a month after the events in the Superman 2025 movie. It’s still worth watching (or rewatching) the first season along with other DCU shows for a refresher, though the second season will provide a recap that will double as an explainer for what will be officially canon.
