Wednesday Season 2 is finally here on Netflix with the first half of the tale, but there is one character notably missing from the lineup — Xavier (played by Percy Hynes White). Despite being a major part of the first season, he is not there in the first four episodes of the show, and it seems he will not appear in the rest of the season or future seasons either.

Here’s why Percy White’s Xavier doesn’t return in Wednesday Season 2
The decision to omit Percy Hynes White from the second season of Wednesday was made long ago in May 2024. This also ensured that the second season does not follow Wednesday’s love life, which was divisive in the first place.
The second season finally addressed why Xavier is not there in Nevermore Academy anymore. In the first few episodes, it is revealed that Vincent Thorpe had pulled both his son, Xavier, and his endowment from the school after the events of the first season. This links back to the time when Xavier was wrongly accused of murder and sent to prison briefly.
As per the story, Xavier now goes to Switzerland’s Reichenbach Academy. Little is known about the school, but this plot point effectively removes Xavier from the equation for good.
Outside the world of Wednesday, Netflix decided to cut ties with Percy White Hynes after he was accused of sexual misconduct. Hynes has denied the allegations (via Variety), but Netflix chose to remove him from the show.
Most of the cast and crew members have refrained from comments about his exit since. Anyhow, Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 has shown that it will go on without Percy White. Moreover, many have praised the move of not exploring Wednesday’s love life in the show.
The final part of the show’s second season will come out on September 3.
