The story behind Revelation is one of the more unexpected twists in the recent X-Men books. In the wake of Krakoa’s fall, Apocalypse began to reconsider his violent methods and decided someone else should carry on his mission of building a better world. He held a tournament with a dozen competitors. The unlikely victor was Doug Ramsey, aka Cypher. Now going by the codename Revelation, he intends to use his powers to build a better world by any means necessary.
