Vulture Vignette for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

August 05, 2010

The villain in the September 7 release

Activision has provided us with new vignette featuring Vulture in the Noir dimension in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, coming to stores on September 7.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a thrilling action-packed adventure set in four dramatically different universes from legendary Spider-Man lore, each with a distinct Spider-Man armed with unique skills and strengths, in one original storyline.  Players will be transported to new locations never before seen in a Spider-Man game, from lush jungles and dusty deserts to various urban terrains.  Acclaimed Marvel comic book writer Dan Slott takes players on a mission to contain the magical energy of the Tablet of Order and Chaos, which has been shattered and sent hurtling across parallel universes, and battle fan-favorite villains in a quest to restore the fabric of reality.

Yeah, while I like the visuals of the game for the most part, I'm betting this game will play like crap. You can tell just by the motion in the videos that this is going to be another stiff engine with fancy visuals and i'm betting a lot of clipping and bugs.

Nobody said he IS a vampire, Batchat... just that he had the look/style of Nosferatu, which was a 1920's vampire flick. He had an elongated face and looked like a rat. He was dark and creepy and animalistic. That's what they are going for with Noir Spider.

Im going to agree with "What the Hell" and say that a game that looks this interesting will probably have poor play control, but with all the various Spiderman games out there, I'd also like to think that it's been done enough times to know how to do it right.

I play games for the story, myself. I can deal with a little poor play control for an interesting romp through the realm of Spider-What If.

Off topic... but who thinks Spiderman/Peter Parker should have a cameo in the Avengers movie? Maybe shooting pics of the action... or suiting up, only to realize some other heroes are already on it? I think that'd be cool.
