Variety reports that, while Blade 3 won't be in theaters until December, the second sequel has already been picked up by TBS and TNT.
Turner Broadcasting's TBS and TNT have decided they can't wait to nail the exclusive first basic-cable run of still another sequel to "Blade," starring Wesley SnipesWesley Snipes, and of a movie featuring Jane Fonda as the bete noire of Jennifer Lopez, "Monster-in-Law."...New Line hopes the third "Blade," called "Blade: Trinity," will continue the good news delivered by "Blade II" (2002). That sequel grossed $81.6 million in U.S. multiplexes, a dazzling 17% higher than the $70 million pocketed by the first "Blade" movie in 1998.
Now that's what we call planning.
